ADC Only Party That Can Rescue Nigeria — Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the only political party capable of salvaging Nigeria, urging voters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to support its candidates in the forthcoming local council elections.

Atiku made the remarks on Thursday while joining the campaign trail of Dr. Moses Paul, the ADC chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), ahead of the February 21 FCT Area Council elections.

Speaking during a visit to Apo Wasa, Atiku described Dr. Paul, popularly known as Dr. Mo, as a credible and relatable candidate capable of earning the trust of young people and residents of Abuja.

“Dr. Mo represents the kind of leadership young Nigerians in Abuja can connect with and trust to shape the future of the Municipal Council,” Atiku said.

The former vice president encouraged voters across the FCT, particularly in AMAC, to cast their ballots for ADC candidates, describing the move as the first step toward unseating what he termed the “failed APC government.”

“ADC is undoubtedly the party that will salvage Nigeria,” Atiku stated. “The surest place to begin is with Dr. Mo and AMAC.”

The February 21 FCT Area Council elections are expected to serve as an early test of party strength and voter sentiment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
