    Nurses suspend action after talks yield compromise

    After a week‑long warning strike, nurses’ unions suspended industrial action following discussions with federal officials. The agreement includes timelines to review pay scales, address shortages through accelerated recruitment, and improve working conditions. Labour leaders said they will monitor implementation and could escalate if commitments are not met.
